His first attempts to share this intimate narrative faced opposition from family members uncomfortable with the disclosures. Undeterred, J.T. found an initial audience through local publications, igniting a lifelong passion for storytelling.
Initially, J.T. envisioned Hamilton Avenue as an autobiographical sketch, a non-fiction account capturing the complex layers of his own life story. This seed of an idea would evolve significantly over the decades, transforming from a personal reflection into the intricate fictional narrative readers enjoy today.

D.F. Miller joined forces with J.T. Brian in a serendipitous encounter at an investigative firm managed by Brian in 1997. Armed with a master’s degree in English and a distinct talent for vivid descriptions and compelling storylines, Miller immediately recognized the potential in Brian’s manuscript, originally titled “KORIN.”
Impressed by the raw narrative, Miller dedicated his personal time to thoroughly review the manuscript, quickly becoming an integral part of its evolution. With a passion for deepening the narrative and enriching character development, Miller proposed a collaborative revision, which ultimately reshaped and polished the novel into its final form.

The creative partnership between J.T. Brian and D.F. Miller spans more than two decades, marked by collaboration, debate, and persistence. The final realization of Hamilton Avenue in 2024 represents not only the culmination of sixty years of intermittent effort, trials, and setbacks but also the crystallization of their shared vision and dedication to storytelling.
Driven by the simple yet profound question posed by Miller, “If not now, when?” the duo finalized and published Hamilton Avenue through Newman Springs Publishing, whose director enthusiastically declared the novel’s significant potential for success and impact.
